I'm finding this very frustrating, because that's not working.  It 
looks like it should be working, but it's not.  The Javascript 
console in Mozilla tells me that "document.getElementById("first") 
has no properties" and IE tells me "object expected".  If you want to

It's IE5.5 that I'm working with.
I've just had a look and it seems to be style.floatStyle, not 
style.styleFloat.  But neither work with IE5.5 Win anyway.  Gah.

It would probably be 'none', since the W3C reference says that values 
for float can be 'left', 'right', 'none' or 'inherit' 
(http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visuren.html#propdef-float).
