The difficult part of using Perl to validate is that, in the event of an
error such as a missed required field, you'd have to redraw the page for the
user, fill in the fields, and point them to the field with the error.

It can be done. It's just more work than using JS validation.

use JavaScript. I'd like to use Perl instead so
I don't have to worry about somebody having JS
turned off. (And because I know Perl a bit more
than JS.) ;) Even Lincoln Stein's book uses
JS for this.

I'm guessing I don't have to reinvent this
