In the head section of your document, put:
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--hide the script
function fieldFocus(){
document.formname.fieldname.focus();
}
// -->
</script>
And in the body tag, add: onLoad="fieldFocus()"
Make sure you replace "formname" with the actual name of your form and
"fieldname" with the actual name of the field you want to give focus to.

Thanks to all the helpful people on this list - you're all SO awesome. Is
there a way to direct the focus to a form element? It would great to make
this element the initial element for the user to input.
