Hello list, 

This might be out of scope of this list, but I hope you guys, who have a lot
of experience, can give me your view of the best way to do a image archive.

The development tools I'm supposed to use is pure Microsoft; MS SQL Server,
FrontPage, Visual Interdev, VB Script and JScript.
I would like to use a database to be able to do a dynamic page, i.e being
able to search in a database for a keyword and then present a list of the
images matching the search criteria.

My own thoughts:

- Having all text information about the image (Description, size of image
etc) in a SQL database. In this database I would only store the link to the
images which is placed in a folder on the server.

- Having all information including the images stored in a SQL database. 

I would appreciate if someone could advise me, how will I get best
preformance?
