short JavaScript cookies?

Seasons Greetings,

I'm well versed in VBScript, but a cutter-and-paster with JavaScript.  What
is the rock bottom, shortest, quickest barebones JavaScript for setting a
simple cookie?  In VBScript, it takes one line and about 30 keystrokes. The
JavaScript examples I see look like enough code to get the luner module
safely on the Moon and back.
