Hi,
Sorry for the semi-lengthy post but I think I've found the problem to my
error message, but I don't know how to fix it....
'What I didn't tell you all last time'
--------------------------------------
I had a demo version of CF server, but then uninstalled it in favor of
express (because it was free, and all I need it for is testing). I installed
CFExpress right after uninstalling CF Server. When I looked at a CF Document
(MyFirstPage.cfm) in the cfdocs folder, It had no association. So instead of
restarting Windows 95 and letting the computer finish the install (Dumb, I
know), I manually set the association with the server app. Now everytime I
load a cfm file from my browser using the File -> Open dialog box, (instead
of typing the path in) it doesn't display the page....it starts up a new
instance of the CFExpress server.
My question is, what do I associate cfm files with if it's not the server? I
tried associating it with IE and NS but that just brings it up as a regular
HTML file. I also tried uninstalling, and re-installing but that doesn't do
it either. I've posted this question to the forums group at allaire but
haven't gotten a response in a week.
I would really appreciate any ideas,
Phil
