Re: Secondary DNS Serverby "David R. Burlingame" <drbexe(at)tampabay.rr.com> |

First of all, I'd like to thank all who responded to my original question: >What do I use for the secondary DNS server (without buying another static IP address)? I was probably leaning toward taking Leland Lammert's suggestion, which was to find someone else in the same situation, and mirror each other as secondary servers. My only question there would have been where to look for someone willing to do this. Then, more or less to vent my frustration, I called my ISP's sales department (after running into a complete dead end with their "tech support".) It appears this sales guy has the best answer, so I decided to share it with the list, in case anyone else runs into this: He suggested doing a Yahoo search for "free DNS". To my surprise, the very first link that came up in this search seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. If anyone would like to check it out, the URL is: http://soa.granitecanyon.com/ Has anyone had any experience using a service like this? Once again, thanks for the responses! Dave Burlingame
