Hi all,
Thanks for the replies but, unfortunately, these are all things that I have
taken into account.
I have tried:
WHERE (((tblmessage.ddReply) Like 'None'))"
This is all on one line, its just the email that breaks them up.
"SELECT tblmessage.MsgNdx, tblmessage.ddName, tblmessage.ddEmail,
tblmessage.ddTitle, tblmessage.ddPosition, tblmessage.ddCompany,
tblmessage.ddTelephone1, tblmessage.ddTelephone2, tblmessage.ddTelephone3,
tblmessage.ddExt, tblmessage.ddFax, tblmessage.ddStreet, tblmessage.ddArea,
tblmessage.ddCity, tblmessage.ddPostCode, tblmessage.ddCountry,
tblmessage.ddAdvise, tblmessage.ddSubject, tblmessage.ddMessage,
tblmessage.ddMessageDate, tblmessage.ddReply, tblmessage.ddDateReplied,
tblmessage.ddFormat FROM tblmessage WHERE (((tblmessage.ddReply) Like " &
"'" & "None" & "'" & "))"
I have also tested and copied the query direct from the database to no
avail, it works in the database but falls flat on its face in asp. ie:
"SELECT tblmessage.MsgNdx, tblmessage.ddName, tblmessage.ddEmail,
tblmessage.ddTitle, tblmessage.ddPosition, tblmessage.ddCompany,
tblmessage.ddTelephone1, tblmessage.ddTelephone2, tblmessage.ddTelephone3,
tblmessage.ddExt, tblmessage.ddFax, tblmessage.ddStreet, tblmessage.ddArea,
tblmessage.ddCity, tblmessage.ddPostCode, tblmessage.ddCountry,
tblmessage.ddAdvise, tblmessage.ddSubject, tblmessage.ddMessage,
tblmessage.ddMessageDate, tblmessage.ddReply, tblmessage.ddDateReplied,
tblmessage.ddFormat
FROM tblmessage
WHERE (((tblmessage.ddReply) Like 'None'));"
Again, all on one line.
Although it doesn't neccessarily follow as being fact, the error states that
it is the "rst.Open" that is at fault. The sql statement does work if no
qualifying statement is made ie:
"WHERE (((tblmessage.ddReply) Like 'None'));"
but, of course, that gives me all the records instead of just those that I
require.
Please help, I'm still going nuts!
Thanks,
Keith
