Earthlink does not block FTP commands. I used to work for them and
still know several ppl there as well as have my free accounts. I ftp to
mine all the time on my laptop. I would say it is another problem.
Probably the ftp client.

Subject: ISPs blocking FTP commands
As a reseller, I provide hosting on my dedicated Linux server.
Recently, two of my clients -- both using the same ISP "Earthlink" can
not "FTP" into their sites.
The URL works OK that is "http://domain.com"
BUT not FTP commands.
When one of my clients called "Earthlink" they told
my client -- that they do Not block FTP commands.
Is anybody else, having the same problem with Earthlink or other ISPs?
Thanks,
