If you really must do it this way, you could use shutdown.exe  from the
resource kit to schedule a shutdown and leave a DOS boot floppy in the
drive. You would attach to the other server exactly the same way as you
would to do an over the network install of NT--check out
www.bootdisk.com for resources if you don't know how to do this
yourself. I've successfully cloned servers this way (although it's not
recommended).

Why not take the easy way out and look at a third party backup program.
There are plenty that support backup to disk.
