This is exactly what you need:

You don't need to set up a new mime map if you are going to specify .html
files for the SSI. And, in the second part, where you have to edit the
server side include extension and enabled values, if they aren't there, just
add them (be careful of your spelling). I just did this last night and it
worked for me.

To add the values, go to Edit/Values, then in the Value Name field, put:

ServerSideIncludeExtension

Leave the Data Type as REG_SZ and click OK.

Then, highlight the new value in the right pane, go to Edit/String and enter
.html in the String field. Then click OK.

Repeat for the ServerSideIncludesEnabled value, using 1 as the String.

WARNING: BEFORE MESSING WITH YOUR REGISTRY, BACK IT UP!!!!

   A friend and I are trying to get an NT server up and running and we are
