Hello all...
I'm a newbie to this list so don't know if this question has been
asked/answered before.
I'm thinking of setting up a new business in web page design and am looking
for recommendations on software and equipment that I'd need to get started.
I want to put together a list of "must have" items along with some optional
items that would enhance things.
My experience in website design to date has been with FrontPage 98 and 2000.
I am trying to learn to code my own pages to make up for some of FP's
weaknesses and am experimenting with AceHTML to help fill in some gaps. I
don't know any scripting languages but am willing to invest some time to
learn. One of my weaknesses is graphics: I've got no art background so
will need a program to help me create some nice banners, buttons, and other
graphic elements. I'd just like to create some basic, attractive websites
for clients without a lot of the "bells and whistles" stuff that I can farm
out until I get up on my feet.
Would appreciate any help you could provide.
Thanx...
