Hello again,
Im working on the Thinkquest page yet again.
What I am wondering is...I think I should be able to get by without a
"dynamic" web page, but I would need a SSI script that will get a list of
lessons that I have saved in a directory, it will also determine if a user
has been to that lesson, and if so, make it bold.
Also, I would like to have some way to determine the amount of users in
an online chat room and amount of messages in a message board (Selena
Sol's).
Also, my site will have a "final test" that when passed will give the user
access to more areas in my site, this will hopefully be yet another ssi that
when evoked checks a flag in a cookie if it is true, it shows a list of
links to different areas in the site, if false it returns a link to take the
test. Security is not THAT important as the extras just make it interesting,
gives the user a reasont to take the test.
My question is has anything like this been done, if so, where can I find
it, if not, how would I go about getting it done when I myself have very
little Perl/C++ (the languages the server allows me to use) knowledge.
Hope this makes sense, thanks for your help
Chris.
