Require Digital Camera and Video info

I have a client with the correct video card etc for camcorder and digital
camera to PC but wants to know which products to purchase to do the
following:

- still shots to quickly remind me of  machinery and piping features
- still shots of good quality to put into hard copy manuals or computer
slide
presentations such as Power Point or Corel Presentation
- movie clips to put into slide programs
- movies to walk through a process system with my own voice telling me
exactly
how the process works

Will he require both a digital camera and camcorder?
