Database-driven website

Hi,

I'm new here. I hope I'm asking this question on the right list. I need to
set up a database-driven website, in which the owners of the site can update
the database through a page on a browser that is password protected. Haven't
done this before, and I don't know SQL. I'm looking for recommendations on
what kind of software to use, and what kind of server to use. Can anyone
here help?
