I think it is important to note that, apart from paying out money to try
FrontPage 2000, you can at least try FrontPage 98 for 45-days from sites
like www.files.net.au.

Macromedia allow trial use of all (well most - where's Flash 4.0?) major
shipping products including Fireworks 2.x, Dreamweaver 2.x, Flash 3/x, etc.

Adobes attempts at WIntel products isn't up to scratch in my opinion.

Allaire freely offer evaluation versions of Cold Fusion (both Studio and
Server) and are now even offering "Cold Fusion Express" - a seminal Eudora
Lite for Cold Fusion which a mate of mine is raving about! - of course I
haven't mentioned I'm using the full registered version of CF Studio. He's
converted though.

The main point is that for the most part you can try the product out for
usually at least 30 days. 45 days for the FrontPage 98 trial. Mac users
probably aren't as well off but they are better supported now by companies
like Adobe and Microsoft than anyone else.

My advice is to shop around. Take advantage of the try-before-you-buy and
then do the right thing and purchase the software you continue to use - and
uninstall the software you don't.

Cheers!
