My first guess David would be that you spelled default.htm wrong? Or was
that in the finger-keyboard transfer rather than a copy-and-paste? (jab,
jab)

FrontPage 2002/XP from my eggsperience, expects default.htm to be the
"default" home page if another has not been identified in the web settings.
I usually use index.htm or index.html and tell the appropriate server to
look for those files first.  If you indeed did spell the file name wrong in
the URL or preceding link, then you may encounter this type of message.
