I am investigating CMS (Content Management Systems) for a couple of our Web
sites.  I have seen demos of some "solutions" that provide everything from
the design, preview and approval to access levels for editors.  Some even
provide member's forums, newsletters and on-line greetings.  (More to come
on the latter in a different post)

We are a small company - definitely not in the "enterprise" category.  Some
initial quotes I have received are quite high.  I am leaning more towards
the ability to allow more people with editing / posting access using
consistent navigation (templates), improving the private members site as
well as a forum and the abilities sending/tracking the HTML newsletters. I
want to reduce the number of software packages on my PC (FrontPage, FTP)
while choosing a product whose company will still be in business next
year... 

I would appreciate to hear of any experiences from other Web managers /
designers on this issue.  If you have suggestions, please let me know.  If
you can include examples of small to medium sites utilizing CMS, please send
a link as well.  This package would have to be compatible with many Web
server platforms used by ISP's.
