Mario,

There are a variety of software packages that you could use to do the job.
For starters I would look at Vicomsoft's < http://www.vicomsoft.com/ >
Internet Gateway Package(Firewall, proxy server, DHCP server, Router all in
one.) It's gotten pretty good reviews from what I have heard.

I'm not a sys admin so I'm not sure what mail packages are out there, but I
do know that there is more than one for the Mac. I believe cc:mail is one
package, Lotus may have a Mac Version, and so might Netscape. 

Another option, if you have PowerPC hardware, might be to install LinuxPPC
on one of the boxes and run UNIX apps on your server. You will not only get
more choices for software, but you will get much better performance out of
the machine(System 7 is old and slow, and has too much 680x0 code).

Please help me out.
I'm supposed to find the software needed to enable a Macintosh based LAN on
the Web.
I've come across some stuff, but since i don't know this system that well,
I'm having a hard time on the best choice.

This LAN will connect via dial-up and must enable it's 7 hosts to browse the
web and email each other and the outside world. This is a somewhat old LAN;
they are still using System 7.

Anyone out there using Macs can help me with this? Please advice me on the
software.
