My name is Tom Barkley, and I'm a reporter working for
LineOne, the London Times web site.
I'm doing a story on web sites for small businesses, and I was
hoping to get some information from you about what small businesses
might want in a web site, and what they should look for when deciding
what authoring tool to use. If someone could reply to a few
questions, I would really appreciate it. I need it by Friday, April
17.
Can all small businesses benefit from having a website? How much
impact can a website have on sales and marketing?
Do most small businesses outsource designing a web, or are they doing
it themselves because of cost, etc.? Is technophobia a major
deterrent to creating their own websites?
What are the most important things to consider when choosing an
editing program? Are there functions that small businesses in
particular might benefit from?
What are the most important things small businesses should include
when making their own web site?
Are there certain editing programs that might be useful or easy to use
for small businesses?
Thanks for taking the time. If you're familiar with any web
design software reviews aimed towards small businesses, please let me
know. If you know any small businesses which have designed their own
site, I would love to talk to them.
