I resorted to the validator several hours ago... I found an issue that
fixed something else, but not this.

I just answered the URL question on the list, but here it is again:

The main style sheet is 

http://adele.gpelearning.com/_styles/gpe.css

That imports

http://adele.gpelearning.com/_styles/gpe_hide.css


The home page uses different stylesheets, and the @import trick works
fine on there for hiding the background swoosh.

http://adele.gpelearning.com/_styles/gpeHome.css and
http://adele.gpelearning.com/_styles/gpeHome_hide.css
