You want to make sure that the non-breaking space is never underlined? 1.
Don't put it inside an anchor tag. 2. If inside an anchor tag, use the SPAN
inline tag and set up a class like:

.nounderline { text-decoration:none; }

<.a href="#">Some<.span class="nounderline">&nbsp;</span>Words</a>

(note: dots added for those with HTML email)

I suspect not.  Would it be advisable to declare this as an inline style 
using a span tag instead?
