Changing The Href Color

Hi Everybody,
I'm trying to change the <a href> font color in my CSS and I'm not having
much success. I'm using this:
A
{
    COLOR: blue;
    FONT-FAMILY: Verdana;
    TEXT-DECORATION: underline
}

And I've also tried putting it in A:Link but that doesn't work either.
Sorry for bugging everyone with such a simple query but I'm a bit like
Ruprict the Monkey Boy when it comes to CSSs.
