I am trying to eliminate the use of frames on my site by utilizing
css2's fixed positioning, a subcategory of absolute positioning.  I have
copied a sample of code directly from the wc3 site (9.6.1) but it won't
work.  If I replace all of the "fixed"s to "absolute"s, the different areas
fall into their appropriate places.  But by doing so, these different areas
don't remain on the screen when the user scrolls.  It occured to me that
perhaps I was having problems because I didn't have the latest browsers...
so I downloaded Opera 3.61 and IE 5... and the same thing is still
happening.  What I'd like to do is create a header and left nav that remain
on the page at all times... the body of the page can change, and should be
capable of scrolling.  Is there any way to do this?  Also, how can I create
a single frame page that has different source code appearing in various
pre-assigned areas... kind of like the "target" idea of the frames world.
