Problem with CSS Positioning and Opera

Hi Everyone,

A student of mine is having a couple of problems with CSS positioning and I was hoping one of you might have a 
solution.  I've tried several things, but seem to be running into the wall on this one.  Here are his questions. 

 In lab 1 I experimented with different positioning. I could not get z-index to work properly in Opera 6.0. It works fine in 
IE5.5. The circles should be behind the h1 tag and the navigation bar. Any ideas? 

In Lab 2, Opera is displaying the background gif incorrectly. Again it looks fine in other browsers. Opera seems to split 
the triangle into 3 images. I can't figure out why.

Students are required to use HTML Strict at a minimum, and must validate with the W3 HTML and CSS validators, as 
well as Bobby.
