You can view the smart tags in WIN ME like I am.
IE 6 beta and Office XP.
And to be truthful No one will know tell it all come out how they will
work. But from the research that I have done to this point the only was
the tags work is with a lot of different stuff on you page. Now if they
do implement them on every ones sites across the board it will be a very
big lawsuit.

Subject: Smart Tags = Dumb Idea
Some people seem to keep missing the point. Maybe they work for
really big companies, I dunno. CSS, View Source, Meta Tags,
JavaScript, whatever... do not provide "links to other sites"
that the page creator never intended, wanted, or desired, to be
linked to.
Can you imagine WalMart having their "Greeters" help people, by
advising them to go to another store -- for better pricing or
selection? That's pretty close to what MS intends to do, with
their new tags. Or so it seems.
As XP is still in Beta, and the new tags require XP, we still
have a ways to go -- before the SHTF. Don't hold your breath on
an Oct. release, either. And I have yet to read, where these tags
will work without XP, even if a person is using IE 6x.
With all the controversy, upgrade costs, and other problems,
still plaguing XP, it may not be the panacea that MS hopes it
will. These tags may turn out to be, just a minor annoyance, when
it comes to Web page design.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!
