Try using

<? include("templates/left_nav.abc"); ?>

rename left_nav.shtml to left_nav.abc
and drop all the html tags, except the direct info needed for the nav

As you can see, I am needing to use the temp URL for this site as the
existing domain is in use - once I'm done the overhaul, the workshops =

would be: http://www.audreylynn.com/workshops/workshops.shtml

Why aren't my SSI's working for non-root directories? Is this a server =
issue
or the fact that I'm using the temp URL?
