Hopping IP addresses (OT?)

Hi mailers,
I have just started to monitor the raw data from my site and noticed this on
the viewer IP address:
A person logged into my site as ***,***,***,215
the next page they viewed was as ***,***,***,216
and this continued until ***,***,***,230
With out looking at the raw data and looking at the data supplied by my
server translation it looked like I had 15 unique visitors for this one
visitor.
Can anyone explain why the IP address would be hopping like this?
It has only happened this one time that I am currently aware of but it could
have happened before and effectively be ruining my prior thoughts on the
number of visitors to my sites
