Hello John,
"Can't contact server owner"? Sounds a bit suspect to me. If it's your
server, even a virtual one, there must be a way to contact the sys
admins who can set up server-side stuff for you, albeit through your
reseller or whatever. If there isn't, maybe you should switch
providers.

Anyway to test the whether AllowOveride is set in access.conf file with
following constraints:
Virtual Server
No Telnet
Can't contact server owner
Can upload and run perl scripts in cgi-bin
Hoping there may be a perl script that tests it.
ne1 have any ideas?
