Thanks to all list members who replied on and off list regarding the DW
templates and meta tag issue. I'd already tried most of the suggestions and
am beginning to think that maybe library items are going to be a better
choice.
Recommendations of including the meta tags in the title tag editable region
were good - except that the template promptly lost all but the title content
when I saved and tried to apply that template to a web page.
I could have a buggy version of DW 3, though other posts suggest this is a
real coding issue within the program and not my version.
This leaves me with an interesting question - do I accept the missing meta
tags for those pages which I wasn't going to register with search engines
anyway? Or, do I now dissociate pages from templates and use library
objects instead (about a day's worth of work to convert)? Hmm...
Thanks everyone, at least I can rule out my program and computer as being
the culprits this time <grin>.
Sincerely,
