Michael,
I think that searchenginewatch.com has some articles on how to deal with
dynamically driven sites and search engines. I have not dealt with your
particular problem before, but I've found some other helpful stuff there in
the past.

Subject: index.html -> index.php
I am moving to using php, so I will be replacing index.html with
index.php. I am thinking right now to write a one-line meta refresh
index.html to load index.php, but this will not have any doctype, meta,
anything, so I am somewhat concerned about how search engines might respond
to this. There may be other considerations as well that I'm not even aware
of. Anybody with experience/advice on this? TIA.
