Messing with your DUN settings only occurs if you elect the installation
option to make AOL your default internet connection and/or browser.
However, some very "mysterious" things occur on many machines when AOL is
installed.
Fred Langa from Windows Magazine has an excellent article detailing exactly
what AOL does to a machine when installed:
