A really useful welcome page...

Hello!

Right now I have a welcome page (the one image page that you click to go to
the useful pages).  I was brainstorming about how to make that page useful
when it occured to me that I could preload all the other pages and then
automatically enter the site...  how do I do that?
I know about the onloads and the preloading images, but how do I put the two
together without the onload screwing it up?  or is there a whole other
way...
