NT user missing?

One of our Web servers runs Windows NT 4, and a database there has begun to
malfunction. It's supposed to feed data to a Web page, but we started
getting error messages. We were advised to make sure the default machine
account (IUSR_<machinename>) in the NT user manager had a certain set of
permissions. However, this account does not appear to exist. I've checked
other NTs and they do not have the same problem. Can this account be
re-created?
