Start -> Run -> type "command"

At command prompt type in "ipconfig"

This works on all versions of windows and lists all network
configurations.

Subject: off-topic, IP designation

Peoples

Sorry for the off-topic post - I need some help with regard to
getting the
IP #'s off of some friend's computers (not in the same travelling area
as I
am). We're dealing with that W32.Klez virus and I've asked "everyone"
(we're directors on a non-profit org board) to update their virus
definitions and scan. In an attempt to possibly track down the
offending/infected computer I was hoping to get the IP #'s off of their
systems. I run Win98 (am very happy with it) and am wondering if anyone
would be willing to let me know how to explain to the others running
newer
versions how to get this.

Win98 - you click start --> run, type in the Open box "winipcfg", click
ok --> more info then click the down arrow next to PPP Adapter to select
the
ethernet adaptor and the IP address is then shown (this, btw, is for the
folks running cable access, in our case, Shaw.ca).

I've been rerouting all the domain email to one separate email
box to
screen out the virus infected emails but would dearly love to track down
the
infected computer. This particular virus hijacks email addies for the
"sent
from" . Any help would be greatly appreciated :) - these folks are ok
at
sending email and opening up their internet browser but sort of stall
from
there :)
