A question about CSS

Hi:

Just one question:

Can anybody explain me what are the diferences betwen:

position: absolute
position: relative
position: fixed
position: inherit

and how do they work in CSS.

I've been trying to nest DIV tags but they don't do what I want and I think 
the problem is in those variables.
