Another Adobe Illustrator question...

Thanks again for the great assist last time. Now, here's a new glitch. I
seem to have lost half my fonts in Illustrator. That is, when I look at my
complete list of fonts it is split into two sections. Each section is
alphabetized. All the fonts listed in the first section work fine. However,
the fonts in the second section are NOT what they are named... No matter
which font I select from this section, all that comes up are one or two
incorrect font faces....???
I have already reinstalled Illustrator and also deleted all the Adobefnt.lst
files (as recommended in the Adobe Knowledge Base). Still have the same
problem.
It's enough to drive a person nutz. Any instructions to regain my sanity,
please?
