I put up this one page website at one of the free areas
(virtualave)
to reflect some votes of our local council. It of course
downloads with
ads which I feel the landlords are entitled to do.
I happened to click view/source where I see all this code
after the closing
</html> which is not part of what I uploaded. This is code
that I uploaded.
It starts out:
<!-- ads begin -->
</noscript>
<!-- -->
</noscript>
<SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript" LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!--
// set expiration to 3 minutes
var expiration = new Date();
expiration.setTime(expiration.getTime() +
etc., etc., etc,...... etc.
Can someone tell me what this is all about?
If I just stripped this off using my ftp software, would
this mess things up,
or should I just accept that this is the way it's done to
get there ads into my
site, or are the "lookers" being spied on?
Thanks.
