I have had a similar experience with PS5 on one particular computer.
Although I would edit the images (this only happened to GIFs), after saving
them, the changes would not appear.  I tried saving as another file and all
sorts of other workarounds to no avail.  I even thought I might be not
thinking straight and asked a colleague to try.  He had the same results.
When we took the file over to his station and edited it, everything worked
fine.  This happened numerous times.  I have no problems, however on the
station I am on now.  SO... There is definitely some sort of strange problem
with some machines, PS, and GIFs.

I am able to view the arrows on your site with my IE5, but I don't doubt
your quirk.
