data capture

Hi people,
    I have a design for an e-commerce site but I am wondering how to capture
the data from my current design to send to a shopping cart type program.
currently I am using tables which are set up by a .TXT file. I want to be
able to insert a order button in the table and have this button capture the
data in that table cell. This is my first attempt at e-commerce site and I
have no experience with shopping carts so be gentle. if any one has any
recommendations for good cart programs that might suit my application I will
be grateful.
