Grammar (was Re: what is a web designer?)

I agree. I had this client who insist on having "quotation marks" around
phrases like "the best consultants around", etc., etc., even simple words
like "aircraft guide", and etc.  I've suggested this but this is the way he
wants it, as it's printed on his brochures, etc. I ask him to speak it out
loud, and try to "convey" all those quoted words, "like, you know", but to
no avail. "Isn't it awful?" Unfortunately, it's making his otherwise nice
website look like Cheap Uncle Joe's "Used" Car Lot when you actually read
the contents.
