You're quite right of course. :-)

For some years I've generally done all my coding in lower case, but I've got
into the habit over the years, when discussing HTML code in emails, of using
upper case simply to differentiate code from the rest of the email.  I will
have to remember not to do that now that more and more people are moving
towards XHTML which, as you say, should be all lower case.

At least all of the code in the example I gave was in lower case! :-)
