Well, there's MusicMatch (http://www.musicmatch.com/) which is decent.
Seems to slow up my computer a bit, though, but it is a few years old
running with 128 MB RAM, which is ancient these days.  Despite that, I
imagine on a machine with more RAM you'll have no problems, and I never
really have had all that many problems with the slow up either.  Just
something I thought I'd mention.

There's also Gamut which came with my machine, so I don't know where'd
you get it.  Seems you can do a whole lot of format conversions with
this, which is nice.  Wouldn't know where you could get this from; just
run a search.  I *think* you might be able to edit sound tracks with
this, but I'm not sure.  Been too long since I used it.  Other than
that, probably searching the web for sound editing software (perhaps at
TUCOWS; I don't know) would be of more help.
