I've been informed that if you use the 'web' feature of FP that it will
always and only publish web to a directory right off the virtual root of the
web server and that the starting point of the published web cannot be in a
subdirectory. In other words, that fp will not drill down to find a starting
point from which to publish.
I'm skeptical about this but don't use FP myself - - but do need to know.
My druthers is to allow folks to use FP as a web page editor but to disable
all FP extensions and not let all these ugly little directories spring up.
I've seen poor use of FP bring web server to its knees (as in total halt) in
the past.
Is there a resource where the pros and cons of FP use and the use of FP
extensions are discussed at clear/responsible length? (Not just bashing, but
real evaluative stuff.)
