This is the second note I've read regarding the success of accelerated
graphics on Win2k.  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, since I got my
information right from the MS web site.

I run Win 2K Pro and never have any problems with games... Quake III Arena,
Rouge Spear, Ultima Online and etc. In fact my NVidia TNT II runs much
better on Win 2K with the new Detonator 3 driver for Win 2K. If you are
having problems with games/graphics it's more likely due to incorrect
drivers than it is to Win 2K.

Of course that's my opinion and I could be wrong.
