For those who responded, I lead you off the mark. Let me clarify:
When I burn a CD in Windows and then play it on a Mac, the volume name of
the CD is added to the address of every HTML page, even if the file is in
the root directory. I've tried this on OS 9.1 (IE 5) and OS X (IE 5.1.
I tested it by burning a download of one of my live sites as well as a set
of HTML files from a recent training CD I built -- all of which work fine
when played in other Windows machines, but not on either Mac I tried.
I also tried saving linked HTML files directly to the Mac hard drive. The
HD itself is now included in the path in the browser address bar, so the
links still do not work.
How can Mac users follow my links on the CD? Does IE 5 for Mac have a
switch to change this?
