I used to have very good results (two to three years ago) using WebPosition
software.  Eventually, though, I found it took way too much of my time to do
all the submitting and tracking.

Now that link popularity is a much greater factor than just your html
structure, the game is even harder. I've been researching lately to see who
offers a well-rounded search engine promotion strategy, and I found two
companies that look good, though I haven't tried either of them yet.

http://www.web-ignite.com - looks very thorough and reasonably priced
(though still more than us little guys can afford)

http://www.unchartedshores.com - I've corresponded briefly with their CEO,
Eric Norlin, but haven't yet had a chance to meet with him to discuss the
focus of their services. He's very experienced in online marketing, though,
so I'm sure he knows how to set up an effective search engine campaign

Hello all,

My company has decided that they would rather pay someone to optimize our
site for search engines than have me spend the time and energy doing it.  I
have read many places that hiring one of these places is risky, however,
given their decision, I need to find a good one.  Does anyone know of a
service that will do this effectively without wrecking my code?  I have
found lots of companies, but have had very little luck finding any kind of
review of these companies.  Any help or advice would be very much
appreciated.
