Well, much of the programming world is case-sensitive, so its not a problem
for me. What *is* a problem, though, is any lack of standardization in the
HTML. Attempting to parse an HTML document with a CGI script is just that
much slower of I have to check case as well...

...and I expect to see even more CGI interaction involving HTML documents
and web site stored data.

...and I hand code daily, as well as using Dreamweaver when I need it. I
personally have no problem reading lowercase, and in fact can read HTML
source as quickly as I do plain English. I think it may be just a matter of
practice.

All that being said, I support lowercase conventions but I don't condemn
anyone for supporting uppercase. Its the consistancy that counts to the
computer.

Well the point is, there is NO real good reason why there is a standard to
use lowercase for tags. The best I've seen is "Use syntax highlighting!",
which is just bogus. Making the assumption that everyone is using an editor
that has this option, isn't an option.

so everything in lowercase. one big stream of never ending lowercase
letters. you've got to be kidding me. i'd much rather try to find IMG than
img any day of the week. though i suppose for those of you that rely on
wysiwyg editors, it really doesn't matter.
