slightly OT - security

OK.  Security isn't off-topic, but this question isn't just about web
security.

I'm looking to learn all I can about application security.  There's a lot of
information out there about Network security and the how-to's and how to
find security holes.  I'm looking for  the same type of information from a
software perspective.  Things like SQL Server's problem with apostrophe's
and dashes.  Things that directly affect the way programmers should program.
I'm not finding any consolidated information about it, just pieces here and
there.

Any suggestions?
