Hi All,

I will step out of lurking mode on this one and introduce myself. My name
is Trisha Salas, I am a part-time webmaster/designer. I also have 5
children and I homeschool which is the reason my webdesign is part time
<grin>
I am self taught like some of you are and am using Primarily
Dreamweaver3/Fireworks 3. My first site was done in Frontpage and I quickly
saw how it mangled the code and produced 'cookie cutter' pages. I haven't
mastered DW by any means yet but it is a far superior program coupled with
Homesite...I am very pleased so far. I am just delving into CSS (was hard
to take that leap mentally since I am just beginning to feel I have a handle
on tables for layout)
I have enjoyed all of the discussions so far and am impressed with the way
differing opinions can be expressed without too much 'toe-stepping'
Now to my reason for this post....Jon, I have 2 web design books that are my
favorites from a design (as opposed to code) perspective. The first is Web
Design Studio Secrets by Deke McClelland and published by IDG books. The
other is very much a pure design book with wonderful ideas for sparking the
imagination. It is titled Web Pages From Around The World by Daniel
Donnelly.
Also on the web go to www.coolhomepages.com It is always helpful for ideas.

Also, would like some constructive criticism on my own site at
www.jubileedesign.com
